<p>An extraordinary set of product releases and product rumor this week amid a heavy workload for all of us at Photogeek this week.</p>
<p>Hosts include <a href="http://philipgreenwood.com.au/">Phil Greenwood</a>,  and <a href="http://beetv.com.au/">James Bellew</a>.</p>
<p>We apologise for the short show this week and the lack of one last week but we have all been otherwise occupied all at once.</p>
<p>This week James and Phil discuss the future directions of photographic hardware.</p>
<p>Canon release the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/17/21-1-megapixel-canon-eos-5d-mark-ii-with-full-frame-hd-video-ann/">EOS 5D Mk11</a> as a 21 Megapixel 1080p video shooting beast. MPEG4 HD sounds OK in theory but there are some questions about its&#8217; use.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18710">RED continue talk on their forums</a> about an imminent new camera. They are calling it a DSMC (Digital Still &amp; Motion Camera). We ponder the ramifications.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dpreview.com/news/0809/08091501Zeissforcanon.asp">Carl Zeiss announce</a> the release of two prime lenses with Canon EOS mounts.</p>
<p><a href="http://photogeek.tv/Pages/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/carlzeiss.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-252" title="carlzeiss" src="http://photogeek.tv/Pages/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/carlzeiss-300x277.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="277" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.redrockmicro.com/">Red Rock Micro</a> announce a few new releases and we reckon they might have little growth potential.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gearlog.com/2008/09/tamron_announces_18_to_270mm_z.php">Tamron release a Swiss Army Lens</a> the 18 &#8211; 270mm.</p>
