I’m a smugmug pro customer and it suits my semi-pro needs far better then any other website I’ve looked at.
I’ve got about 5.6Gb up there mixed between public, hidden and passworded galleries.
It lets you have a decent level of customization without a lot of effort, they have a very helpful forum for customizations which I’ve used a bit as I understand html code but not much css or javascript. All the elements on the page can be moved or hidden using css. Using my own domain is nice too.
The watermarking and protection features in the pro acct are also very helpful.
I’ve sold a few prints through it but the international shipping costs US$9 which puts off customers from NZ unless they want a few prints.
